About the
Artist
I began
painting when
a friend asked
me if I would
paint a
picture of her
cat, Data.
After painting
her cat I
decided I must
try this
technique
using my own
dogs as
models. A few
friends saw
and liked my
paintings on
glass and
asked me to
paint their
dogs. This
technique has
taken off,
especially
after my
husband took
my paintings
to his dog
club. He
actually
brought home a
few orders. I
am now a
vendor at
agility
trials, club
events,
conformation
shows, police
K-9 shows and
other dog
events.
Over the past
years I have
painted many
different breeds;
some in a portrait
format, agility
obstacles; at Schutzhund trials.
I have painted
dogs on plates,
cookie jars,
magnets,
ornaments, pins
and brooches. I
find each dog I
paint has it's own
beauty and dignity
and I am deeply
touched by each
dog and owner that
I meet.
Now available, I
am creating
T-shirts from your
original painting
on glass. Also
available,
greeting cards and
other stationery
created from your
original painting.
Please visit the
Gallery section of
the website to see
the T-shirts and
cards.
The paintings are
created using a
favorite photo of
your pet, painted
on glass, inserted
into a frame, and
completed with a
mat and backing.
The combination of
flat acrylic paint
contrasted with
the shiny glass
background creates
a unique painting
that brings your
pet to life.
Please take a few
moments to view
the gallery. Thank
you for visiting
my website. If you
have any questions
or comments,
please feel free
to contact me.
